Take action on vaping in BC

A 2018 study from the University of Waterloo found that between 2017 and 2018, vaping among 16-19 year olds had increased 74%.

With 5 potentials cases of vaping related lung illness in Canada, we are calling on the BC Government to take urgent action to prevent the use of vaping among BC youth.

To the Honourable the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, in Legislature Assembled:

The petition of the undersigned residents of the British Columbia, states that: vaping related illness is on the rise in BC and vaping use among teenagers is also seeing drastic increases, putting them at potential harm for long-term and serious side-effects.

Your petitioners respectfully request that the Honourable House move to immediately limit advertising of vaping related products to youth, prohibit the sale of vaping products outside of regulated vaping retail outlets, review the flavour and nicotine content of vaping related products, and pursue other increased enforcement and compliance mechanisms.
