Old Brand, New Life
IT'S HERE YA'LL!
Well, after starting and stopping multiple podcasts over the last few years and never really landing one something that kept me interested, I decided I was trying to fit a square peg into a round hole too often.
What do I mean by that?
Well, I kept trying to force myself to record podcasts on issues and subjects I was kind of interested in, but not truly passionate about. And to be honest, I found myself occupying a persona that was just not me.
I'm a pretty chill dude (okay, I CAN be a chill dude, when I'm not anxious AF and/or managing a panic or anxiety attack). I generally approach things with a more thoughtful and curious perspective. Forcing a persona onto myself of a high-energy, pitch-man sort of car salesperson just wasn't cutting it (and it was exhausting).
Years ago when I first got onto Twitter, my handle was @trpshow (being short for The Ryan Painter Show).
I hosted (by the most loose definition possible) a very rudimentary video podcast. It didn't last too long, as I quickly got extremely busy in my political organizing, so I shifted away from the brand and moved towards more of a personal Twitter account.
Well as they say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Therefore, TRP Show is reborn, in the only way I know: by being myself. I'll approach topics and issues with the same relaxed, mostly calm and curious way I have always approached issues. Sure, I'm passionate, but I also care much more about listening and dialoguing with people.
Very simply, there's enough people out there doing the high-energy thing. The big personas of the Gary Vee's are great, but that is just inauthentic to who I am.
Thus restarts an exciting journey and adventure with the relaunch of The Ryan Painter Show Podcast.
To support the production and development of the show, I've created a Patreon page to allow folks to sign-up to various tiers to provide some love to the show. You can even sign-up and get merch delivered every three months for the first years, including a mug, a tote bag and a shirt.
